Mini beauty haul :*

Hello lovelies,

Today I have a small beauty haul for you! It's isn't make up but it is hair/skin care and some cheeky chocolate hehe. The only reason that I didn't pick up any make up is because it's my birthday a week tomorrow (sunday 19th may) so I didn't want to buy anything in case I end up getting it for my birthday too.

So these are all of the things that I got today! Not really very interesting but  I thought that I'd share them with you anyway :)

Left to right - (top) Olay essentials double action nourishing and protecting sensitive day cream - TRESemme split remedy
left to right - (bottom) Dairy milk with oreo - TRESemme platinum strength shampoo and conditioner - V05 High volume extra strong hold hairspray

I always have really bad split ends from straightening, curling and dying my hair so hopefully this intense split end recovery masque will help them! Fingers crossed.

Weirdly I actually don't own a facial moisturizer which is so bad especially as I wear make up on a daily basis. I do have my Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream however, I just use that on my lips as it dries out my face. So I thought that I'd pick this one up :)

Next I picked up the TRESemme platinum strength shampoo and conditioner as I needed some more! I haven't tried the platinum strength before however, I do love the TRESemme range so hopefully this lives up to my expectations :)

Lastly I got the v05 high volume hair spray. I normally always get the L'Oreal Elnett hair spray however I was on a bit of a budget today and this was a lot cheaper at £3 rather than £5+. I'm hoping that it will still be good especially as it's supposed to be weather resistant.

That's all that I got today anyway my lovelies, I will review some of the items above when I have tired them out as I haven't actually used any of these products before.

Love from,
Robyn x

Spring/Summer trend #2 - pastel colours (mint green)

Hello my lovelies,
I'm quite busy at the moment with my exams just around the corner so I haven't had the time for a full length blog posts with the taking pictures, uploading them etc but I did want to still post something.

Last time I showed the monochrome trend (http://floral-fancie.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/springsummer-trend-1-monochrome.html) which I love, this time instead of showing you a trend I love I've just featured one of my favourite colours: mint green. This is kind of a trend as it is the pastel theme but you get what I mean.. I hope :)

April favourites :*

Hello my lovelies,

I know that I normally upload blog posts on the weekend but it's the 1st of May so I thought I better do my April favourites before it got too far into the month and I forgot about it. I know everybody says this but I honestly can't believe how fast this month has gone! I've had such a roller coaster of a month but have some amazing memories out of it AND we know what the 1st of May means right? I'll tell you just encase you've forgotten;).. 18 days until my birthday woohooooo! I'm so super excited and I will have a few blog posts up about my birthday, what I got and what I wore to my meal and stuff. I will also be making a YouTube channel soon which will have my birthday hauls and VLOGs on :) But anyway, here are my April favourites...

So these are my 6 favourites for April, I could have featured a lot more but I didn't want this blog post to go on for years haha!
Top (left to right) - Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream - Lush Karma bubble bar - Essie nail polish in mint candy apple.
Bottom (left to right) - MAC studio fix fluid with SPF 15 - Hollister spray in Laguna Beach - Samantha Chapman Real Techniques pointed foundation brush.

This is the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream! I had heard such amazing things about all of the Elizabeth Arden range however, this one stood out the most. I actually went to look for it in TKMax because I thought that it would be cheaper but they didn't have it (they did have lots of other Elizabeth Arden things though so go check them out). When I was in boots I wasn't actually looking for this as I thought it would be very expensive but as I was walking out I actually noticed it out of the corner of my eye on sale from £25 I think, to about £13 which is such an amazing deal.
Anyway, I really really like this cream however it does dry my skin out a bit sometimes, I'm not too sure if that's just the weather warming up though, so I normally just use it on my lips as they've been so chapped recently and this has helped to moisturize them so so much!

Next is the Karma bubble bar from Lush. I LOVE Lush but I've never actually bought or received a bubble bar before so I thought that I would give this one a try as again, it had very good reviews. I have now used this about 3 times and I am in love with it! It makes the bath smell like heaven and produces lots of cute bubbles for the perfect relaxing bath.

Next is Essie's mint candy apple. I'm pretty sure everybody had heard about this so I won't ramble on about it haha. But this is such a pretty spring/summer colour and I love the formula of Essie's nail polishes. Definitely check them out if you haven't already.

Now is the MAC studio fix fluid with SPF 15 in the shade NC15 (I am veeeeerrryyyy pale okay haha). I can't even begin to tell you how much I am in love with this foundation! I love love love trying different foundations and this is my new all time favourite. I normally use Nars sheer matte foundation which is around the £30 mark but this MAC foundation is so much better for only around £20-4. It stays on all day with occasional powder touch ups and matches my skin tone perfectly which is always a bonus. You all need to try this foundation if you haven't already! :)

Next is my Hollister spray in Laguna Beach. Oh my lord, can anybody smell heaven? Yes that is just my Hollister spray! Honestly, this smells gorgeous as do most of the other sprays that Hollister do. Obviously as this is only a body spray/mist it doesn't last all day but it does last a while and doesn't go down quickly at all no matter how much you use (obviously not if you use an excess amount haha).

Last is my Real Techniques pointed foundation brush by Samantha Chapman. I purchased the Real Techniques core collection during the Easter holidays and I haven't stopped using them since, they probably could do with a good wash in all honestly. Anyway, I love love love this foundation brush, It's my favourite brush out of the set. I use it with my MAC foundation that I featured earlier and works really well. It is so soft and easy to apply any liquid foundation with.

So there you have it, my April favourites! I hope you liked this blog post and hopefully you'll try some of the things that I mentioned and fall in love with them too. Comment when your favourites for this month were :)

my life in photos #1

Hello my lovelies,

Sorry I didn't post anything last week, I was too busy getting ready for school:(. Yep, went back to school this week, still need more time to finish off my Easter eggs and sleep. Oh well, back to school now and revision time is well and truely kicking in as my first exam is less than a month away.. so scary!

Anyway,
I thought that I would just show you a few picture of what I did over the Easter holidays :-)

So on the first week of the  Easter holidays I just chilled with my boyfriend most of the time. We actually went to Southampton shopping and he spoilt me like mad however, I don't really have any pictures from that week :( Just an instagram photo of some of the things that I got.

Left to right - Hollister spray in Laguna Beach, Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in Ivory, Topshop brow pencil (not too sure of the colour/shade sorry), Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in 020 Cameo, Topshop nails Parma violet and Essie in Mint Candy Apple

Then these are the Easter eggs/gifts that I got on Easter Sunday that I featured in my last blog post

I did however, take quite a few photos in the second week of the Easter holidays. I went up North of the UK to Blackpool to see my dad and his girlfriend which was lovely! We went for a few meals, shopping and cinema trips, they also got me a few Easter eggs (hello fatty!)

Sunday 7th April -

On Saturday night I dyed my hair darker however you can't really tell in this photo :( Excuse the awkward smile just thought i'd show you my hair! Dying it darker soon though, fingers crossed it goes okay. Then I traveled for 9 long hours up North on two coaches, wish I could of stayed in London and shopped :( (picture of Topshop Oxford Circus - i think it's that one anyway). I also tried a Strawberry Lemonade from Costa for the first time. It was lush but the couple in front of me knocked it all over me when they sat down and didn't even say sorry :( urgh!

Monday 8th April -

Today we went to town for a few bits and bobs, not much though and afterwards we went out for lunch at a restaurant/posh bar thingy called Revolution! These are just some pictures of me and my dad messing around whilst waiting for our food - it was delicious btw :)

Tuesday 9th April -

We did quite a few things on the Tuesday. First me and my step mum went to get the top of our ears pieced (don't know what it's actually called), she got a purple ring and I just got a plain silver stud but I loooooove it! Afterwards we went thrift/charity shopping to see if we could find any bargains (yes the song by Macklemore made me want to go haha). I actually found quite a few things that I will feature in a mini haul for you if you'd like, comment on this post if you'd like to see one:-). Anyway, whilst we were thrift shopping we stopped at the most amazing ice cream parlor EVER! I got three scoops (shush i was on holiday), one banana, one bubblegum, one marshmallow and of course some strawberry sauce. It was so so yummy! Later on that night we went out for a meal to the  Harvester with some family, it was such a good laugh and I had the nicest chocolate fudge cake ever :)

Wednesday 10th April -

Today I went to see Identity Thief with my grandma, it was so so funny and I definitely recommend it! Other than that I didn't really do much but make milkshakes with my Easter eggs.. this one was too beautiful to eat/drink though.

Thursday 11th April -

Omg this was the best day out of the whole week in all honesty because we went SHOPPING (like you couldn't of guessed from that photo haha). We went shopping to the Trafford Center in Manchester, I normally prefer Manchester town center however, I wanted to go to Forever 21. I got so so many lovely things, some that I payed for, some that my lovely family treated me too. I also got a caramel frappicino (can't spell haha) with an extra shot of coffee and whipped cream from Starbucks aka heaven in a cup! Btw, the photo of the things I got in spread out from over the week not all from one shopping trip :-)

I don't have anymore photos from the Easter holidays as I just came home on Friday 12th and chilled/got ready for school until Monday.

What did you guys get up to over the Easter holidays? Leave a comment bellow I'd love to know :)

PS. I will be uploading 3 haul/style posts soon (spread out so they don't get boring): a mini thrift/charity haul, complete Easter Easter favourites haul and spring/summer look book with the clothes that I got a few weeks ago :)

Happy Easter!

Hello lovelies,

IT'S EASTEEEERRRR!

I hope you're all having an amazing day with your families or whoever you are spending your Easter Sunday with. Anyway, I thought that you might want to see what I got from my parents as I am so thankful.

I got all of this, I honestly didn't expect anywhere near this much! I know to some people this may not be a lot but I am so so thankful for it all. In the morning me and my little brother, Joe, did an Easter egg hunt that my parents had set up to find everything - it was so cute!

What did you all get for Easter? Leave a comment!

Favourite SS13 nail polish:*

Hi there lovelies,

Today I have another beauty related blog post for you- my current favourite nail polishes for the Spring/Summer time! I will be uploading my Spring/Summer haul in the next few days however, it will probably be very long so I thought that I'd upload a shorter one first for those of you that don't want to sit through and read a long blog post :-)

These are my favourites for SS13! The different brands are: Essie, TopShop, Barry M and Maybelline. All of the colours are bright, matte and mostly pastel (apart from the sparkly ones) which makes them perfect for the SS13.

These are my Barry  M nail polishes for the SS13. From left to right they are called: Peach Melba, Strawberry I/C, Berry I/C and Cyan Blue. The first three are very pastel and quite girly colours for the SS13 whereas, the Cyan Blue isn't. Even though the Cyan Blue isn't a pastel colour, I picked it because it's very bright and fun for SS13 and not too dark! I love the Barry M nail polishes because they have such a large range of colours and the coverage is brilliant - you don't need a lot for a thick coat!

The next two are my top favourites for the SS13 from Essie and TopShop. The shades are:  Essie- Mint Candy Apple and Topshop- Parma Violet. I am honestly in love with these two nail polishes (that sounds so so sad Robyn, being in love with nail polishes), they are such beautiful colours and perfect for the SS13. Ironically, I haven't actually tried them out on my actual nails yet as my boyfriend bought them for me the other day however, I have heard amazing things about them and I love the colours from bottle:-). You're probably thinking "why have you showed us another lilac nail polish", but this lilac is a lot more pastel purple whereas the Barry M one is a lot more pinky.

Last but not least are my glittery/sparkly nail polishes for the SS13. From left to right they are: Topshop- Tingle, Brazil, Ziggy and Maybelline Mini Colo Rama - Tutti Frutti. I know that these are colours to wear in the SS13 but I thought that it would be fun to experiment with SS13 colours with some glitter for a more girly look! TopShop glitters are amazing however, Brazil which is mulitcoloured (looks more brown in the picture) is quite hard to get off if you have a cheap nail polish remover. Other than that, I love all of these glitters and love to experiment different styles with them.

So that's it for my favourite SS13 nail polishes! Leave a comment if you'd like to see more blog posts on nail polishes and maybe even different nail polish designs. I will be uploading my SS13 haul soon :-). Any constructive criticism is always appreciated but no nasty comments or hate please, if you don't like my blog simply don't look at it :).

March Empties:*

Hello lovelies,

So I did it, I managed to not leave another month in between blog posts haha! Anyway, today I've just got a small blog post for you all which is my March empties. I know it's not the end of March yet but it's so so close (I swear it was Christmas just the other week:(..) and I don't have any other products that are almost finished in time for April.

So here we go, my March empties...

These are my 3 March empties (told you it would be a short blog post, hehe). They are the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder, Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara and Katy Perry Meow perfume. The powder I have only had for a month or so, the mascara I've had for 6 months (I get rid of them after 6 months as they go off after that) and I've had my perfume for over a year.

First is my Rimmel London Stay Matte powder! I know that there is still a little bit of powder around the edge of the pot however, I'm going to depot it and crush it into a little pot to use occasionally (not that it will last long). Anyway, I love love love this powder, I heard a lot of rave about this powder and I always love a matte look so I decided to give it a try. I am fairly pale however, I didn't need the lightest shade in this due to the range of shades (my shade is 005, Silky Beige as you can see from the picture). This powder applies very well with a good coverage and definitely gives a matte effect however, I did find that I had to re-apply it a few times throughout the day which I don't have to with my MAC powder which disappointed me :(

Next is my Benefit BAD Gal Lash mascara! Oh my goodness, I cannot praise this mascara enough, just go an buy it if you don't already own it, okay? I had wanted to try this mascara for a long time however, I waited until I went over to America because it was cheaper. Even though I had to wait for it, it was sooooo worth it! Not only does it last for a long time, it gives your lashes amazing volume without looking too fake and even lengthens a bit too. Along with the Benefit They're Real mascara, this is my favourite mascara and when paired together, the two make your eyelashes look perfect. I've just recently re-purchased this mascara too (well mummy did for me).

Finally Is my Katy Perry Meow perfume! A while back I also had the Katy Perry Purr but unfortunately it ran out rather quickly so my mum got me this as a present! Not only am I in love with Katy Perry but her perfumes are gorgeous and seem to last a very long time. I am absolutely atrocious at describing scents however, this perfume has a strong vanilla and floral scent. When the vanilla starts to fade the floral is more prominent  Such a gorgeous perfume and so gutted that it's ran out :(

So there you have it, my March empties! I hope you enjoyed this blog post and let me know if you'd like to see similar blog posts to this again in the future. I will be uploading my new Spring/Summer clothes once my new shoes arrive and may even do a look book to go with or in a separate blog post :). Collective Haul :*

Hello again my lovelies,

Oh my goodness, it's almost been a month since I last posted! I'm honestly so sorry, I don't even have a good enough excuse for you all apart from that I've been too lazy to take some pictures, edit them and write about them.. not good!

Anyway, to make up for not posting in a while, I've got a collective haul for you!
Over the past month I've picked up a few bits and pieces however, nothing major as I haven't needed anything that desperately to spend my money on (I'm trying to save for Germany and London in Summer).
Although, I do have parcels from TopShop, H&M, ASOS and Miss Selfridge coming within the next week or so that i'll show you when they arrive (summer clothes, eeeeek!)

These are all of my purchases over the past month, as you can see they're mainly beauty related!
Everything you see will be in more detail below :-)

These are all of my favourite beauty products that I bought recently! I have previously purchased a MAC lipstick and fell in love however, this is my first time trying any of their other products! I love love love the MAC studio fix powder, it is very creamy as it works as a very light alternative to foundation and stays on almost all day. The MAC lipstick that I bought was in Vegas Volt, I've wanted a deep coral colour for a while and fell in love with this one. In the picture the lipstick looks a lot more red than it actually is, it's actually a dark coral-pink colour. I also got a sample of the strobe cream which I have been using almost every day, I might have to purchase the large size.

MAC studio fix powder in NW20
All products - MAC online

My next purchases are also beauty related! As I had just splurged out on some MAC products, I just got a few cheaper drug store products that I desperately needed! I had just run out of primer and felt tip eyeliner so I wanted to find some cheap alternatives to the more expensive brands. I came across the NYC primer and MUA extreme felt tip liner. I love this primer, it is quite cheap at £3.49 (it was on offer when I bought it) yet it still gives you very good coverage and lasts all day. I am also very happy with the £2 felt tip liner, it glides on very well however, it isn't as black as I would have liked :(

MUA felt tip liner - Superdrug
NYC primer - Superdrug

My next purchase was 4 Yankee Candles in the scents: sugared apple, vanilla cupcake, pink dragon fruit and wild passion fruit. As you can see from the photograph, I am currently using wild passion fruit in my vintage bird cage candle holder and I love it, it's a very fresh smell which I was looking for to freshen my room up. Sugared apple is one of the Christmas candles however, it is lovely for all year round! It basically just smells like what it says, sugar and apples. My favourite candle out of the 4 has to be vanilla cupcake, it just smells divine. Sugar, icing, vanilla, cake.. just heaven! My last candle is pink dragon fruit which also smells amazing (durr Robyn, otherwise you wouldn't have bought it), it smells of dragon fruit (obviously), it is such a fruity smell yet still smells quite sweet.
I highly recommend all of these candles!

Yankee Candles - yankee candle store

So that's all of my purchases in the last month! I hope you enjoyed this collective haul, sorry for the long wait :/. There should be another blog post when all of my parcels arrive within the next week or so, so look out for that. I promise I'll try my best to upload a blog post every week or two.
I'd appreciate any constructive criticism remember :)

How I style: disco pants :*

Hello again lovelies,

After doing a beauty related blog post last, I thought that I would do a fashion related one this week.
I recently purchased the Topshop disco pants which I am in love with! I know that disco pants are becoming more and more popular so I thought that this would be the perfect time to come up with a few ideas on how to style them for myself and you guys. So here it goes...

Disco pants can be worn casually or formally so  I decided to mix up the outfits however, these are the three that I liked the best!

Formal: Here I have created a "party" look that would be worn at night time, most probably for going out somewhere special. That's not to say that you couldn't go out like that is the day time!
Disco pants: Topshop
Burgundy Peplum top: new look
Leather jacket: H&M
Shoes: Miss Selfridge

This next look is also quite formal however, it can also be worn in the day time if you'd like.

Disco pants: Topshop
Floral shirt: Topshop
White cami: Primark

Casual:
This look is quite casual and comfy yet still very stylish.

Disco pants: Topshop
Burgundy jumper: new look
Cross necklace: Primark

So there you have it, my three style ideas for wearing disco pants. I hope you enjoyed this blog post and feel free to leave any advice or tips that you have for me - I'd appreciate any constructive criticism :)

January Favourites :*

Hello lovelies,

This is my first actual blog post apart from my introduction so I hope you like it :')

It's February already, how crazy is that? The year is going so quickly already. I thought that it was about time that I did my January favourites before it was too late into February. I've been trying out quite a few new products this last month with getting a few new beauty products for Christmas. Unfortunately, some of them have been disappointing however, these are the ones that I have loved!

These are the six beauty products that I have chosen to feature in my January favourites! They are (from left to right): Benefit They're Real mascara, Ralph Lauren Big Pony 2 for women, L'Oreal Elnett Satin heat styling spray, Nars Sheer Matte foundation in Gobi, Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil in hazel and Lee Stafford Treatment for hair that never grows past a certain length.

My first favourite beauty product is the Benefit They're Real mascara! I got this for Christmas along with a miniture version which is a perfect handbag size. When I first heard about this mascara I was very excited because of all of the amazing reviews however, I expected it to only give length to my lashes from the style of brush. Amazingly, this mascara gives both length and volume for the perfect lashes. It means that you don't have to layer lots of mascaras on top of each other to achieve the look that you want. So basically, I'm in love with this mascara! Thanks Santa x

My second favourite beauty product is also something that I received as a gift for Christmas. It is the Ralph Lauren Big Pony 2 for women! I first smelt this perfume when on a ferry coming over from Germany to the UK and automatically fell in love with it. I don't normally use perfumes that much however, I've already used so much of this *sigh*. The smell of this perfume is gorgeous yet not too over powering, perfect for daytime and evening wear. It is a very sweet, floral smell with a hint of vanilla (i think anyway haha). But yeah, along with Marc Jacobs Daisy (the pink one), this is definitely my favourite perfume at the moment. x

My third favourite beauty product is the L'Oreal Elnett Satin heat styling spray! I actually bought this a while back due to the horrid condition of my hair from how much is curl/straighten it. I love the Elnett hairspray and constantly re-purchase it so I thought I'd give the heat protection a go without reading any reviews. Anyway, I have been using this ever since I bought it and I love it! Before my hair was very dry and my split ends were atrocious, now my hair looks and feels so much more healthier and has a natural sheen to it. Obviously my split ends are still there but they don't seem to be as visible now as they did when my hair was very dry and burnt (maybe that's just me going blind) x

My fourth favourite beauty product is the Nars Seer Matte foundation in Gobi! This is actually a re-purchase as I originally purchased this foundation whist on holiday in America but oh my goodness I am in love with it! Obviously being Nars this is quite expensive but let me assure you, it is 100% worth it. When I first purchased it, it was April and I didn't have to re-purchase it until late December which shows just how long it lasts compared to cheaper drugstore foundations. The coverage of this foundation is amazing, it's very light on the skin yet hides all (most depending on the redness) blemishes and any facial marks that you may wish to cover. Even though it is a very light foundation, it also layers very well for a slightly darker/heavier look yet it still manages to look quite natural at the same time. I also find that this foundation lasts for quite a long time whereas some drugstore foundations come off a lot easier. But yeah basically I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!x

My fifth favourite beauty product is the Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil in hazel (002). I've been looking for a decent eyebrow pencil for quite a while however, the ones that I've had either haven't been good quality or they aren't as dark as they look (my fault for not testing them in the shop) however, this eyebrow pencil is brilliant! I wasn't too sure if this shade would be too dark as I am quite pale and don't have very dark eyebrows however, it was just right. The thin pencil makes it easy for you not only fill in your brows but shape them too if you're running late and don't have time pluck them. The lid also has a brush attached to the side to blend/shape your brows once you're finished which i find very handy when i don't have my eyebrow brushes with me. Overall, I really like this eyebrow pencil but let me know if you have any favourites for me to try x

Last but not least, my sixth favourite beauty product is the Lee Stafford Treatment for hair that never grows past a certain length! My hair is awful, it just will NOT grow at all. Well obviously it is growing but not quick enough for my liking :( My mum kindly got me this for Christmas and I love it! I didn't wake up with 50" more hair or anything, that would be silly, but it did seriously improve the condition of my hair: it's now a lot healthier and doesn't snap off when it gets to a certain length (which was the main reason for it not seeming to grow). I use this product every Saturday in between shampooing and conditioning, leave it on for 5 minutes as a mask all over my hair and it leaves my hair feeling and smelling like heaven. My hair has definitely benefited from using this! x

So yeah, they're my January favourites! I hope you enjoyed this blog post and feel free to leave any advice or tips that you have for me - I'd appreciate any constructive criticism :)
